The Emergency Management Division of CPTC provides a number of resources that are intended to give students and staff the ability to handle emergencies that may occur on our campuses. Our goal is to help you make the best decisions possible to protect yourself, but there is no substitute for common sense and awareness of your surroundings.

Emergency Call Stations (Blue Light Phones)
Emergency call stations are strategically located around the Lakewood Campus and one at the front entrance of the South Hill Campus. They are intended for emergency situations. When the emergency button is pushed, the 911 system will be activated and the appropriate authorities dispatched. Pushing the information button will connect to security staff. The call stations are all handicap accessible.
Emergency Notification System - CPTC Warn
In the event of a campus event that poses a threat to the CPTC community, an emergency notification message will be deployed. Students and staff can elect to receive text notifications to their personal devices, emails to their email address, or messages to their home phones.
To subscribe to CPTC Warn, modify or remove existing data or unsubscribe (delete), please visit: https://services.cptc.edu/EmergencyNotify
To remove your emergency notification contact information log into CPTCWarn and select the “Delete All” button.
Additionally, messages will be sent to all college computers as a banner announcement with information regarding the threat or emergency. The College phone system will be activated with a warning announcement and speakers placed strategically in buildings, both internal and external, will broadcast an announcement as well.
