We do it all; weddings, reunions, receptions, association gatherings, meetings, award ceremonies and even sporting events. If you can dream it, we can do it. Our 10,709+ square foot ballroom can be divided into three smaller spaces. We have an atrium with breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier. This modern and versatile building can accommodate both intimate gatherings and large groups, up to 1,200 people.
The facility’s warm and contemporary atmosphere comes equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia equipment, a four-screen projection system, Wi-Fi and enough parking for attendees, all of which are included in your rental.
The McGavick Conference Center is the most convenient, customizable and cost-effective option for your next small gathering or large group. With combined experience of 15 years, our event services team is here to assist you with pre-event consulting, on-site walk through meetings & vendor coordination.

Boardroom
In addition to the ballroom and Atrium/Lobby, the conference center features a boardroom meeting space, which is available to clients. Our boardroom is equipped with a desktop, projector, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, counter + sink; these rooms are subject to availability. Seats up to 15 comfortably, notepads and pens available upon request.
Classroom
In addition to the ballroom and Atrium/Lobby, the conference center features a classroom space, which is available to clients. Our classroom is equipped with desks, chairs, whiteboards, desktop, projector, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, counter + sink; these rooms are subject to availability. Seats up to 40 comfortably.
Rotunda
Another space offered here at Clover Park Technical College is our Rotunda. This venue is perfect for small holiday parties or fundraisers, intimate social gatherings, seminars, luncheons, etc. Our uniquely designed space comes equipped with a projector + screen; Wi-Fi, tables and chairs, counter space + sink, and Washington State and United State flags for services. This space can accommodate up to 200 guests theater style, or 100 guests banquet style.

*We offer full kitchen rental and catering kitchen rentals in conjunction with the ballroom. Our kitchen spaces are available for rental Monday – Thursday after 4pm and Friday – Sunday all day with an approved caterer.

Location
The McGavick Conference Center is located on the campus at Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood, WA. On campus, the conference center can be found in Building 23 at the center of campus. Parking is available on the front (north) or back (south) of the conference center.

If the event is during regular school days and hours, parking in front (north side) of the conference center may be limited. There is ample parking on the back (south side) of the McGavick Conference Center. To get to the back (south side) of the conference center, it’s essentially the same driving directions from Interstate-5 with the following differences once you turn onto Steilacoom Blvd SW:
