Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation leads and creates a culture of evidence for decision-making and continuous quality improvement. Data capacity is established through the construction of dashboards, research summaries, fact sheets, program health statistics, federal compliance documents, survey results, accreditation artifacts and measures of strategic outcomes.

IE serves as a member of the Cabinet, Strategic Enrollment Planning Council (SEPC), Retention Committee, Curriculum Committee and SBCTC Research group. Additional activities include:

  • Serving as the IPEDS Keyholder
  • Creating and revising coding protocols
  • Submitting documents for Gainful Employment
  • Managing contracts with external agencies
  • Providing data for federal/state grants
  • Summarizing data for the Foundation
  • Creating custom surveys for data collection
  • Collecting data on student, staff and faculty satisfaction
  • Downloading and maintaining files from the SBCTC Data Warehouse
  • Providing enrollment projections
  • Developing strategic planning reports
  • Responding to data requests from administrators, faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders
