School of Aerospace and Aviation


This school prepares students for vital careers in the Pacific Northwest working with large and small airlines and airports as pilots and aviation maintenance mechanics. Students in these programs study at CPTC's South Hill Campus next to Pierce County Airport.  VIEW PROGRAMS

These top-notch programs prepare students for careers in the automotive industry and the skilled trades. School of Advanced Manufacturing


This school features program options that prepare students for careers working in a variety of advanced manufacturing industries, including working with automated robotic manufacturing, fabricating composite materials, testing materials for destructive flaws, and more.  VIEW PROGRAMS

School of Nursing


Our nursing program offers numerous options to prepare students for careers in the nursing industry. Graduates can begin careers as a licensed practical nurse or certified nursing assistant, and pre-nursing courses can prepare students to transfer to four-year programs.  VIEW PROGRAMS

    • Description: Looking for industry specific internships? Searching for open positions in your field? Whether you're completing your program and going out into the workforce in the next two weeks or the next two years, join us on Wednesday, October 16th at 11am in Building 15, Room 111, for a LinkedIn Workshop. Learn how to make a memorable and professional social media presence that will wow future employers. Create a LinkedIn profile, upload your resume, and make digital connections with industry professionals. This event is FREE for all current CPTC students. We hope to see you there! Learn more.

    • Description: CPTC is going to the game! Join us at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma for an exhilarating soccer game as the Tacoma Defiance takes on the Austin Bold FC on Saturday, October 19th at 7pm. This event is FREE for all current CPTC students plus ONE FREE guest! RSVP is required as space is limited. RSVP.

    • Description: Did you know that October is Disability History Month? Join us on Tuesday, October 22nd from 11am-1pm and learn about disability history. Participate in our table trivia and win some sweet prizes. This event is open to all CPTC students, staff, and faculty! Learn more.

    • Description: Program Information Sessions are where you can meet instructors, view training areas and ask questions. You'll learn about wages, job outlook, tools and supply lists. Walk-ins are welcome, and we recommend that all students attend. Student success offices — like financial aid, advising and enrollment services — are open until 6 p.m. after Info Sessions.

      Program Information Sessions are normally held at 3 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. In most cases, program information sessions are held in the facility or classroom where the program is taught.

    • Description: Club Defiance, in partnership with the CPTC Campus Activities Board, will host a Leadership Luncheon event on Tuesday, October 29 from 11:00a-12:30p in the Building 23 Ballroom. Join us as industry professionals from InGuardians deliver an extensive presentation for those interested in a career in I.T. Security. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. This event is free for all CPTC students, staff, and faculty. Lunch will be provided to all attendees who RSVP. Instructors may RSVP on behalf of their class. RSVP.
