Permanent Resident Status
If you are able to provide documentation of final approval for Permanent Resident immigrant status, you may be eligible for resident tuition if you meet the following conditions:
- Your application for adjustment to Permanent Resident was filed at least 12 months prior to the start of the quarter for which you are requesting resident classification.
- You meet and submit the requirements as an independent student (with the exception of registering to vote), or
- A parent or legal guardian meet and submit the requirements if you are a dependent student.
Refugee or Asylum Status
You may be eligible for resident tuition if you meet the following conditions:
- You have been issued an I-94 card for refugee or asylum status.
- You meet and submit the requirements as an independent student (with the exception of registering to vote).
Qualifying Visas
You may be eligible for resident tuition if you meet the following conditions:
- Possess a valid A, E, G, H, I, K, or L visa.
- You meet and submit the requirements as an independent student (with the exception of registering to vote), or
- A parent or legal guardian meet and submit the requirements if you are a dependent student.
DACA (Deferred Action for Early Childhood Arrival)
You may be eligible for resident tuition under DACA if you meet the following conditions:
- Possess an approval for DACA status,
- You meet and submit the requirements as an independent student (with the exception of registering to vote), or
- A parent or legal guardian meet and submit the requirements if you are a dependent student.
