- Complete application
- Select the department you would like to apply for
- Complete application
- Human Resources will send background check to applicant
- Volunteer applicant submits background check form to Human Resources (Human.Resources@cptc.edu)
- Human Resources will complete the background check and send approval to the supervisor
- Supervisor contacts the volunteer to establish a work schedule

Description of Department:
The Automotive Department teaches students the fundamentals of automotive technology and service. Students complete courses on Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Air conditioning, Electricity, Electronics, Automatic Transmissions, Manual transmissions, Engines, and Engine performance.
Possible Tasks:
- Assist students lifting vehicles
- Assist students performing electrical testing
- Assist students to perform steering, suspension, or brake services
- Assist instructor to ensure safety protocols are followed
- Assist students with operation of a GMAW welder or Oxygen Acetylene Torch
- Assist in general cleaning/organization of the lab area
- Assist in preparation/tear down of lab activities

Description of Department:
Student Volunteers who occasionally attend community events for personal and professional development that work closely with our student centers like the MOSAIC Center, MEC Center or other Committees and EDI projects on campus.
Possible Tasks:
- Attend Community and/or Professional Development Events on or off campus.
- Volunteer in Student Centers working with students &/or Peers such as but not limited to MOSAIC Ctr and MEC Cter.
- Volunteer or collaborate with EDI Programs, Projects and/or committees on EDI related topics.
- Work with students &/or staff on EDI Projects, events and conferences.

Description of Department:
The Student Aid & Scholarships Office (also known as the Financial Aid Office) processes federal, state, and institutional funds for students. Student Aid Scholarships at CPTC support students financially in the form of grants, scholarships, work-study and loans. Our office reviews student application information and packages all eligible aid they are entitled to.
Possible Tasks:
- Create name label/folders for new students
- Put away completed student files in alphabetical order
- Track in weekly student application status on shared excel spreadsheet
- Hand out flyers that have financial aid information or scholarship opportunities
- Wipe down counters, desks and chairs
